Website Design

I've been creating websites for over 10 years.
It is an exciting field that is constantly changing.

Boch Dealerships

I was the senior website designer at the Boch Dealerships for over 10 years. At one point, I was creating ads for, and maintaining, 20 automotive websites. I originally designed our own templates for the dealerships. We eventually migrated to a manufacturer approved CMS. It was fast paced and a lot of fun to work on these sites, learning the requirements of the automotive industry.

Boch Toyota

Boch Toyota is one the jewels of the Boch Dealerships. They sell an incredible amount of vehicles. Maintaining their website was a top priority.

Ferrari Boutique

In addition to maintaining the Ferrari of New England website, I designed and built the template for their online Boutiue to leverage sales of official Ferrari merchandise.

Maserati Boutique

After building the Ferrari of New England Boutique, my next project was to design a similiar template for Boch Maserati's Boutique.

Lead Information Services, Inc.

Lead Information Services asked me to create a website to reach potential customers. They focus on generating and maintaining sales leads in the automotive industry. After the requirements gathering phase, I collected and created the images I would need. In less than a month, I developed and delivered a responsive website to them.

Music Drives Us, a Boch Family Foundation

When I took the reins of the Music Drives Us website, I worked closely with the executive director and found out what the foundation needed: an efficient method of letting people know we offered grants for promoting music. In a little less than three months, I was able to give her a site to present to Ernie Boch before the foundation's board meeting. He loved it, and had us launch it the next day. Six months later, we developed an online system for applicants to submit their materials electronicaly, reducing time for both the applicants and the grant reviewers.

Boch Center

We got an announcement that Ernie Boch had negotiated the naming rights for the Wang Theatre in Boston. Ernie told me he wanted a website for the new Boch Center.

Boston Militia

My employer purchased a women's football team. This is tackle football, with real athletes hitting real hard. knowing little about sports, I researched what was important to the NFL and AFL sites: game schedule, game record, players' pages. In one month, I restructured and reorganized the site according to web standards and best practices. I researched and applied SEO standards and practices to bring the site from obscure SEO results to rank #1 in 2014 for the term "Women’s Football," beating thee two women’s football leagues.

Boch Ice Center

I was asked to re-design the website for the Boch Ice Center in Dedham. I met with the owner, found out what was important to his business, and integrated those requirments with the Boch brand.

Boch Scion

Scion was atypical of the automotive dealerships at the time. They required a specific template, which they provided as a Photoshop file. From that file, I used guides and slices, exported the file as a web page, and made the adjustments nescessary to convert an image into a website.

Ferrari of New England

Making some of the most sought after cars in the world, Ferrari is another atypical manufacturer. I worked closely with the Ferrari USA compliance team and the dealership's general manager and sales team to build a site that would please the manufacturer and entice their elite clientel to purchase these unique luxury vehicles.

Maserati of New England

The sister company to Ferrari, Maserati also had unique requirements for their website compliance. The general manager and sales managers were always very helpful whenever I had a question regarding the manufacturer's needs. We presented both the Ferrari and Maserati sites in a manner that their clients would respond to.

Ernie and the Automatics

For six years, I had the privilege of designing and maintaining the website for Ernie and the Automatics. While working on their site, I learned how to integrate social media to enhance SEO. Creating and maintaining this site was a fun and rewarding challenge.

Open E Records

Open E Records is a local lable. In addition to Ernie and the Automatics, they also promote Extreme, Hoobastank, and Super Time Pilot. It was always very exciting working on promotions for the bands' music and merchandise.

Barry Goudreau

After my first re-design for Ernie and the Automatics, I was asked to re-design Barry Goudreau's website. I had heard their music, but never thought I would meet one of the original members, let alone create a website for one of their former members.

Interop

I was fortunate enough to get a contract with Key3Media in Newton when the internet was growing. I would show up at 7:00 pm and work until 2:00 am re-designing templates, processing articles, and optimizing photos for each day of the show.

Comdex

During the Comdex show, our field staff would send us articles and photos via email. We were lucky enough to get photos of President Clinton when he addressed the audience. However, our manager was afraid the images were not usable due to the poor lighting, distance, and a poorly developed polaroid photo. I worked on the two photos that showed promise and gave them to my manager. He called me a Photoshop wizard and put me in charge of the photos for the rest of the shows.

Comdex, Canada

I enjoyed working on these sites. It was exciting to read the articles as we were putting them online. We were always racing against the clock to make sure our readers had their updated materials before dawn.

Bjorn the Magician

John Slack needed a website for his show, Bjorn the Magician. I created this site for him. With a little work on the SEO, I got him ranked #1 for Rhode Island Kids' Magician several years ago.

The interior pages were designed to expand and or contract verticaly without disrupting the visual effect of the stone borders.

The Sea Glass Inn

My client called after dinner one evening. She needed a website for her meeting with the Chamber of Commerce the next morning. After finding out what the Chamber of Commerce required and inquiring more about her business, I reserved her domain, purchased hosting, and designed this page in time for her meeting. This page was created so we could easily expand it into a website over the next few weeks.
